Product Details

The Album Presto soft top surfboard is light and durable with a copolymer core and inset stringers. They are light and super durable, they feel rigid, not like a full on foam board, make no mistake these boards are made to be surfed hard! The board is perfectly moulded from a hand shaped Album Fish. This precision moulding technology allows these soft tops to have more realistic rail shapes, an extremely important part of a boards performance. They are made in the USA and 100% recyclable too.

No wax is needed, the deck has an extra grippy pad on the length of the deck. The Album soft tops feature a unique bottom contour and rails you won't see anywhere else. These boards surf fast and fun and really make the most of slack conditions, a fun option for avid shortboarders and a solid wave-catcher for groms.

The Presto Soft Top Fish, like all boards from Album is proudly built in the USA, no finishing of the boards takes place anywhere else but Album HQ.
We're super-stoked to be key retailer of Album surfboards and are really looking forward to hooking our lovely customers up with one of these truly stunning boards. The guys here get to surf most of the boards we stock and we get great feedback from our customers on how the boards perform in all sorts of conditions so we're well placed to talk about all aspects of Album Surfboards.

Album Surfboards Soft Top Range

Album Surfboards are one of the more recent companies to jump on the softboard bandwagon, with a range of 3 really nice lookin? foamie models which have recently been released. Album have been long renowned for their beautiful high-end surf craft and this softboard range is no exception.

First thing I noticed about the Album surf soft top boards is that they very similar to those of their Californian counterparts Almond Surfboards  and Formula Fun. Exactly like those two brands,  the Album range are marketed with the following features:

  • 100% recyclable (boards can be returned to Album and recycled)
  • Wax free deck deck pads
  • Futures Fin Boxes
  • Made in the USA

Now not many of us can surf at Asher Pacey?s level (pictured in both photos above), but these boards look like a bit of fun.

The 3 Album Surf soft top models; Presto fish, Seaskate & Kookapinto (denne har vi ikke tatt inn) are all new shapes developed for the range, and we?ll look at each below.

“The surfboard is a constant blending of curves and how they interact with the water. Making those curves feel comfortable, like an extension of your feet and your mind, is so interesting ... There shouldn’t be any rules about what a surfboard looks like.” - Matt Parker

Water never moves linearly.
Every Album surfboard is shaped with this fact in mind, resulting in endless variations. From our standard board models to our customs, each board will respond differently to its setting, its surfer, and the conditions of the day. Whether you’re paddling out for the first time or routinely chasing swell, we’ll help you create the quiver that lets you look at waves differently.

Meet the Founder & Shaper
Matt Parker began shaping boards the way most surfboard shapers do: out of a Southern California garage, back in 2001. Having built an appreciation for pattern, shape and color through a background in fine art and graphic design, he began to apply this visual language to foam and resin, treating each board as a blank canvas. His various board models’ functionality is a result of constant trial and error, ongoing collaborations with some of the best surfers around the world, and a simple love for being in the water.
